Bradford, West Yorkshire

£28,000,000
THE PROJECT
We worked with our client’s brief to deliver a creative and unique interior design strategy which encompassed several areas of the new hospital wing including Main Entrance and Concourse, Information Centre, Paediatrics, Elderly Care and the Critical Care Unit. The spaces were designed with recovery and wellbeing at the forefront of the design vision.
OUR APPROACH
Our interior design scheme was developed through in-depth user engagement sessions, this collaboration allowed for the creation of spaces which added immeasurable value to the design process and contributed to the end-user experience.
WHAT WE DID
The public spaces form the heart of the hospital, presenting an environment of calm, consisting of natural effect finishes combined with fresh and bolder tones. Coherence of interior design and signage strategies allows for ease of wayfinding throughout; in Paediatrics an animal story book theme was implemented to offer playful and interactive interiors for younger patients, while Elderly Care focuses upon key dementia principles within the design inspired by local landscapes.
THE IMPACT
Our vision extended beyond our initial scope, crafting a Design Guide to enable the client to implement the new hospital style across future refurbishments to allow for a cohesive scheme to be developed throughout the Bradford Royal Infirmary site in years to come.
