Sustainability
Going beyond net zero, we embrace a holistic approach to sustainable design - creating spaces that care for people, communities and the planet alike.
True sustainability means improving biodiversity. It means conserving water. And it means using resources responsibly while protecting our communities. No one can do everything, but everyone can do something.
How we commit to sustainability on our projects...
Energy consumption
We always aim to minimise energy use in our buildings through smart design. Utilising effective control systems and considering on-site renewable energy options help us achieve this goal.
Materials
We're choosy about our materials - they are always ethically sourced, sustainable, and built to last. But, it’s not just about being green; it's about creating healthcare facilities that stand the test of time.
Flora & wildlife
We always consider the impact of our designs on local ecosystems. This includes preserving native flora and fauna and incorporating green spaces that serve both therapeutic and ecological functions.
Water
Our buildings are engineered to minimise the consumption of purified water by incorporating systems for collecting and recycling rainwater, grey water, and black water.
How we commit to sustainability in-house...
Culture
For us, environmental awareness isn't an option; it's a mandate. We ensure our team is knowledgeable in sustainable practices and encourage them to implement these practices in their daily routines.
Waste reduction
Waste not, want not. We emphasise the reusing and recycling of equipment and materials and commit to responsible disposal methods for any unavoidable waste.
Materials & energy
We promote efficient use of energy, materials, resources, equipment and products and look towards energy efficiency when purchasing new equipment and products.
Performance
We're not complacent. Our goal is consistent improvement in our environmental performance, which we track and measure through our Environmental Aspects and Impacts Register.
