Gilling Dod Architects have been commissioned to design a major medical centre on a 5 acre plot at the North Wales Business Park in Abergele, aimed at providing care for people with acquired brain injuries and early onset dementia.

The project will provide much needed facilities for acquired brain injury care in a purpose designed 32 bed unit complete with hydrotherapy suite and dedicated therapy street. In addition the scheme provides for specialist early onset dementia care and research facilities in a bespoke 68 bed unit. The scheme is completed by a 30 bed private surgical unit which provides two operating theatre suites and ancillary accommodation for rent and a crèche.
