A new Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit built under the Procure21 framework for the United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust. The new project provides new services for Lincolnshire which had previously been outsourced to other areas. The project is a flagship development for mental health rehabilitation, encouraging a homely, domestic environment which is cognitive for the users therapy and rehabilitation, but still being flexible and functional for its needs.
The ultimate endeavor of the project was to deliver a high quality, individualized care to the patients in a safe, secure and therapeutic environment that sits within the community. The active nature of health facilities on the site and the desire to ensure that such facilities are provided in suitable location accessible to the whole county community, has ensured support for the developments location on this site. This is a step down from a secure unit, the intent being the patients stay for a period of time and thereafter rejoin the community.
