A new Autism Spectrum Disorder Unit at Moorfields Primary School being delivered under a Design and Build Contract with Harry Fairclough Contractors.

The schemes includes a new Key Stage 1 and Key stage 2 special educational needs class room incorporating an IT bay, wet area and adjacent distraction area. The main central circulation space will be used as a meeting and exhibition space for the unit. The ancillary accommodation includes a group room, a kaleidoscope/sensory integration room, administration offices, staff room, laundry/ cleaners room and stores and sanitary facilities.

External works provide provision for a new ‘set down area’ which is fully DDA accessible and external secure play areas are also provided as part of the scheme.
